Sunsail Clubs currently recruit for Club Vounaki in Greece. Sailing is like the way of life here. The resort offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new. Our Kid’s Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include Tennis courts, fitness Studio and Mountain Biking.

About the role

Our season has now started but do not worry – you have not missed out! We are still recruiting for our stand-by list.

What this means is, should you be successful at one of our assessment days then we would be able to offer you a position to join the rest of our team in Greece, if a position becomes available. This role will require you to travel at short notice so please do not apply for this position if you cannot travel within 1 week.

As a Lifeguard/Activities Assistant you will ensure a safe swimming environment and assist in the running of the Kid's clubs and evening care programme. Providing care, safety and entertainment for children ranging from 5 -1 7 years. In this exciting and fulfilling dual role you will be responsible for:

Maintaining a safe environment around the poolside and Supervise both children and adults whilst acting as Lifeguard.
When working as an Activities Assistant as part of the Kid's Club you will ensure the safety of all children involved in kids club activities.
you will be responsible for headcounts and continuous supervision of children throughout the day including during lunch and evening activities.
You will also carry out beach duties when not running kids activities, including rigging and de-rigging of boats and launch and recovery of all boats.

Requirements

NPLQ/NARS/RLSS qualification
First Aid certificate
Experience caring and participating in activities with 5 - 17 year olds
Minimum 1 year experience of life guarding
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
Highly motivated individual
Competent swimmer
Good communication skills - oral and written
Excellent customer service skills
Suitable CRB check
