Work on the Isles of Scilly this summer!

An Assistant Restaurant Manager is required to work in our Flying Boat Club Restaurant on the island of Tresco which is located within the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall.

Duties include; preparing staff rotas, training waiting staff, printing off menus. Taking restaurant bookings and arranging the table covers as necessary. Liaising with the kitchen brigade so that all food on the menu is understood enabling answering any customer queries regarding the menu and ingredients.

Taking food and beverages orders ensuring to pass any guests dietary and allergy information onto the kitchen. Ordering wines and beverages, stock rotation. Must understand and adhere to Health & Safety and Health & Hygiene

Accommodation is provided with this position which is required from March until October/November. Applications from couples are also welcome as we have other vacancies available within the hotels and other departments.

Requirements

Must be passionate about food, have knowledge of wine, excellent customer service skills and be well presented. Excellent managerial skills are also required for this prestigious position. Existing or recent experience in a similar restaurant is essential.

An updated Food Hygiene Certificate is required but training can be given on this to the successful applicant.
