Description

As part of our continued expansion SARL Chamexpress.com are recruiting two additional Transport Controllers to join our professional team and be mainly based at our new Head Office in Les Houches within the Chamonix Valley, France.

This is a full-time management position and the successful candidate will be directly accountable for the logistical smooth operation of our airport transfers across all airport to resort destinations. To include vehicle maintenance schedules, Driver and Airport Representative management, rostering and staff discipline. Liaison with passengers, suppliers and contract clients, to ensure that our high operational standards, reliability, and service delivery are maintained and exceeded. You will be a diligent administrator and thrive on forward planning, detail, paperwork and people management.

Contract duration: Starting from October 2011 through the 01st May 2012. Initial winter seasonal UK contract so your National Insurance contributions are maintained. Conditional on performance, a year round contract by agreement.

Responsiblities:
• Staff recruitment, training and retention
• Rostering of vehicles, Drivers and Airport Representatives
• Scheduling of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections
• Supervision of the day-to-day operation of transfer departures
• Cost control and reduction
• Management and reduction of vehicle damage
• Maximising profits through efficient use of vehicles and resources
• Creation and implementation of improved operational systems
• Emergency driving cover
• Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Well presented and businesslike.
  • Motivated and results-orientated with the ability to finish what you start.
  • A professional and positive outlook and a clear objective on delivering excellent customer service, regardless of problems and time constraints.
  • Confident communicator, reliable, flexible and unflappable. Able to cope with a busy and hectic working environment.
  • Ability to think clearly, take responsibility, and make considered decisions as required.
  • Good administration and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of managing a large team.
  • Full driving licence. (D/D1 licence by test, preferred but not essential).
  • Native English Speaker. Confident, conversational French speaker, both face-to-face and on the telephone.
