Description

As a Hotel Assistant Chef you will make up part of the Chalet Hotel kitchen team catering for 30 to 200 guests.
 
Your responsibilities include supporting the head chef to run smooth operations within the kitchen. We may supervise other team members in eth absence of the head chef ensuring high standards and professionalism, so you will need to have a full working knowledge of all sections. As Assistant Chef you will be able to provide delicious, well presented meals for adults, children and varying dietary requirements to a very high standard.

We look for hard working, self motivated chefs with strong inter-personal skills and confidence in their own ability to work both alone and as part of a team.

As well as the skills related to your role you will also be required to assist with other physical duties such as deliveries, snow clearing, assisting with housekeeping, luggage and lifting. You will be expected throughout the season to fully support the Chalet Hotel, Chalet and Child Care programmes in your resort.

Requirements

  • Qualification or proven ability in the catering industry essential
  • Experience in large kitchens essential
  • Customer Service experience desirable
  • EU passport holders only, with UK residency and permanent UK National Insurance number
