Description
The House Staff represent the domestic side of the ICC experience. Previous experience is not essential as full on-job training will be given. Most important will be attention to detail, enthusiasm, versatility whilst working, an interest in working with children, and generally a good sense of humour. An interest in sailing and outdoor activities is ideal. Working in such a unique environment is a fun, rewarding and challenging experience.
Requirements
To clean and tidy all domestic areas, including cabins, passageways, ablution areas and public rooms as directed. To assist with the welcoming of new arrivals, under the supervision of the Duty Manager. Assist with the pastoral care of all members, and the supervision of unaccompanied young people outside of their activity sessions. Service cabins and change linen, as directed. To assist with the laying up and cleaning after meals in the dining room. Assist in the wash up area, as required. To assist with the evening entertainment and poor weather alternatives to the normal programme, devising new and exciting activities wherever possible. Deal with any minor First Aid requirements (when qualified). To assist in the setting up and running of any special events. To assist the Head of Centre with rotas and organisation. To report to the Head of Centre any potential hazards and equipment failures. Any other duties as may be required from time to time within the context of a growing organi
