Description
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter who is passionate about delivering fantastic customer service to police officers during the 2012 Olympics.
The Position
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our team. To perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and provide any general support including front of house food service if required. To maintain a high standard of customer care. To maintain standards of heath and safety and food hygiene.
This fantastic opportunity is based at a London location. As the site is open 24/7, you will need to be available to work shifts which will include evenings / earlies and weekends on a rota basis.
You will need to be fully available for the Olympics contract from 15th July to 17th September with peak periods between 25th July – 12th Aug & 29th Aug – 9th Sept. We also have immediate work available through our in house staffing bank.
Requirements
Essential
Application subject to a MET Police Counter Terrorist Check
Good communication skills
Be able to comply with legislation & follow all rules & regulations laid down in the staff handbook & unit policy statements, with regard to uniform, personal hygiene, health & safety
Team player and can do, flexible attitude towards work
Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene
Self motivated and able to use own initiative
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
Desirable
Experience of working in an environment where there are peaks and troughs in demand during service times
Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care
Experience of working in a high security location
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in relevant area
