Description
Akkeron Hotels are an independent collection of 36, 3 and 4 star hotels throughout the UK.
As part of our continued expansion programme and recent acquisition of both Forestdale Hotels and Butterfly Hotels we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to drive and maintain business into The Blackwell Grange Hotel, Darlington.
A Forestdale Hotel, part of Akkeron Group we are looking for a real team player with a quality of being real communicator and able to increase business at all levels within the corporate and leisure markets through relationships with key local clients and hotel booking agents.
Your clients will be within the local area of the hotel and the focus will be on you growing our market share within your account base as well as cross selling into Akkeron’s other 36 hotels.
This is a full time position based at either one of the locations and will include visiting clients on a regular basis therefore a car and full driving licence will be required. Business mileage will be reimbursed.
Requirements
- Ideally the candidate will already be in a similar position within the industry either from within the hotel sales or conference sales background.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
- KPI and target driven
- You will need to be professional, self-motivated, and confident and have excellent communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role and an understanding of the local corporate / leisure market
- Ideally in a similar role within this market sector, either from a hotel sales, conference sales or agent environment.
- Experience & knowledge of proactive sales is essential
- Self starter and passionate about exceeding results
- Works well as a team player. Strong communication skills needed.
