Sommelier
The Westbury Hotel is a Five Star luxury property in the heart of London’s Mayfair. We have built a reputation for food quality, using only the best ingredients and freshest produce. We are about to launch a new restaurant, The Gallery. This will be a 96 seat all-day dining concept based on modern French cuisine, working in harmony with the restaurant space. Due to the expansion of our catering outlets, we are currently recruiting for a Sommelier.
We are looking for a Sommelier with the enthusiasm and passion to develop their career in this environment at the top end of the market. Your role will be supporting the Head Sommelier and guiding our diners through the wine list whilst developing the art of pairing wine with food.
Requirements
This is an amazing opportunity for someone eager to take the next step on their career ladder. Some experience in this field is necessary, but more important are a passion for wine and a hard-working attitude.
Candidates need a full understanding of the requirements of a 2 Rosette or similar restaurant and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work at this level.
To be successful you will need to be able to communicate clearly and accurately in English with guests and colleagues.
In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
